Canna Connect MN Grow Series: Spotlight on Cori Przybilla

Friday January 17th's Featured Grower on Canna Connect

At Canna Connect, we believe in uplifting the voices of our local cannabis community. For this installment of the Canna Connect MN Grow Series, we’re shining a spotlight on Cori Przybilla, a passionate home grower.

A Path Through the Garden

Cori is a relatively new grower to cannabis, he started growing indoors around the legalization of Cannabis in MN. Cori started with one plant indoors just for fun, to try his hand at growing marijuana. During the 2024 growing season, Cori enhanced his garden and went larger as well as outdoors, growing “photos” from clones. He had a great year growing, and learning the intricacies of outdoor growing. For Cori, home growing and craft cultivation has become less of a hobby and more of a passion which has led him to becoming more educated and helping others learn the craft.

What inspired him to grow?
"It started out of pure curiosity, I grow produce in my vegetable garden and some of it I don’t like or even eat, but others love it and to give something to someone who enjoys the results of my labor, it’s worth it.

Cultivating Community Connections

For Cori, the most rewarding part of growing isn’t just watching the plants grow well — it’s the people. Being part of a supportive and knowledgeable community of growers has been invaluable. Cori, also part of the Canna Connect Team can be found at most of the Canna Connect events networking and connecting people to the industry.

Words of Wisdom for New Growers

Cori’s advice would be to not over think everything in your personal garden, give it some space, some time and a little patience and things will happen in their own.

One of the main takeaways that Cori has found is that unlike regular produce gardening, he gets attached to his plants and treats them like children. You check on them when you get home, if they run out of water and look a little sad, you feel bad. Like regular gardening you want the results to be the best they can be but there is something a little more special about cannabis plants.

Helping to Build the Community

Cori is passionate about reshaping the stigma around cannabis. His goal is to help people see that even though there have been years of prohibition, there is still much more research could have been done, products imagined, and lives changed. The goal now is to inform people that cannabis isn’t the poison that we were trained to think it is, but oppositely this is the most basic, fundamental form of medicine and recreational release we have had for thousands of years.

Natural Harvest: Committed to Growing Minnesota’s Cannabis Community

Natural Harvest has been championing home growers, fostering collaboration, and advancing cannabis education in Minnesota's cannabis community. As the industry continues to evolve, our dedication to empowering enthusiasts and professionals alike remains steadfast. Here’s how Natural Harvest is making a lasting impact.

Supporting Home Growers Through Events

At Natural Harvest, we understand that home growers are the heart of the cannabis community. Cultivating your own plants isn’t just a hobby—it’s a deeply rewarding journey that connects people to the plant and its benefits. To support these passionate individuals, we host regular events designed to educate, inspire, and build connections.

From hands-on workshops to seed giveaways, these events provide an opportunity for home growers to learn from experts and share their experiences. Topics range from selecting the right strains and optimizing grow setups to mastering nutrient schedules and troubleshooting common challenges. By creating a welcoming space for growers of all experience levels, we’re fostering a community that thrives on shared knowledge and support.

One of our most anticipated events is the Canna Connect Brainerd Lakes on March 8th, 2025, which brings together cultivators, industry leaders, and hobbyists for a day of learning, networking, and celebrating the art of growing. These events not only strengthen community ties but also reinforce our commitment to empowering individuals to grow their own cannabis with confidence.

Collaborating with Organizations Within the Cannabis Community

Collaboration is key to building a resilient and inclusive cannabis community. Natural Harvest actively partners with local organizations, advocacy groups, and industry stakeholders to advance shared goals. By working together, we can amplify efforts to promote legalization, ensure equitable access, and provide resources for growers and consumers alike.

Our partnerships with advocacy groups such as Northern Lights Podcast and the Minnesota Cannabis College allow us to stay at the forefront of legislative developments and contribute to meaningful change. These collaborations also enable us to participate in and sponsor events like cannabis expos, policy forums, and community outreach programs.

Through these joint efforts, we aim to create a thriving ecosystem that supports everyone—from small-scale growers and entrepreneurs to medical patients and adult-use consumers. By uniting the cannabis community, we can achieve greater progress together. -Leah Kollross

Advancing Cannabis Education

Education is at the core of our beliefs at Natural Harvest. We believe that knowledge is power, and empowering individuals with accurate, accessible information is essential to normalizing cannabis and ensuring its responsible use. That’s why we’re committed to providing resources that educate the community about cannabis cultivation, consumption, and its many benefits.

Our educational initiatives include:

  • Workshops: Covering topics such as seed selection, indoor and outdoor growing techniques, pest management, and more.

  • Informative Blog Posts: Offering in-depth guides and tips tailored to Minnesota’s unique climate and legal framework.

  • Collaborative Panels: Featuring industry experts discussing trends, research, and innovations in cannabis.

By prioritizing education, we’re helping to dispel myths, reduce stigma, and inspire a new generation of cannabis enthusiasts.

Looking Ahead

As Minnesota’s cannabis community continues to grow, so does Natural Harvest’s commitment to supporting it. Through events, partnerships, and education, we’re dedicated to cultivating a thriving, inclusive, and informed community. Together, we’re not just growing plants—we’re growing a movement.
